Watch Central Valley Buzz tomorrow (Tues) at 10 AM or when the show repeats at 4 PM (KAIL, Comcast channel 13 and satellite channel 53). Students from Mrs. Baumann's first and second grade class are going to Fresno tomorrow with Service Learning Coordinator Barbara Milazzo to appear on the show to talk about their Tarantula Project. Students studied tarantulas as part of their science curriculum. They then decided they wanted to save tarantulas from getting squished by cars during tarantula season. So they worked with Ms. Milazzo to make the signs as part of Service Learning and wrote a letter to the local paper to solicit people to place the signs near the road by their homes. Many signs can now be seen throughout Mariposa County. Students are excited to share their story with Chuck Leonard, the host of Central Valley Buzz. Once the show is posted on the KAIL website, we'll post it so all can see.
