Back in October, SFCS teachers presented information about their classroom projects and activities at a Rotary Club meeting. This led to Dave Butler of Mariposa-Yosemite Slate Quarry generously donating 4,000 lbs. of slate for campus projects. As a result, students in Mrs. Wilde's 7th and 8th grade class recently have broken ground with a campus improvement project between the multipurpose room and the backside of Ms. Starchman’s classroom. Students are working to make this space a picnic area with shade, a hand washing station, and wetlands water conservation landscaping. When this project is finished, students will plan walkways around the school using the slate. Thanks very much, Dave Butler!
