Thanks to the SFCS students and generous volunteers, the school's solar powered rainwater harvest irrigation system is now ready for this year's growing season. Students in grades five through eight benefited by helping, observing, taking notes and photographing the process. Initial steps last year included computer research on solar pumps, rainwater harvesting, and how to locate recycled storage tanks. Once the tanks were on campus, students also plumbed the tanks and painted them to prevent algae growth.
