Fifth and sixth graders are in the process of making an amphitheater made of earthbags and superadobe for their service learning project with Ms. Milazzo. They started by designing the amphitheater and researching materials. Now they are digging out the dirt. The amphitheater will have 3 levels and will provide an outdoor classroom for students. Thanks to Mark Stephens for donating culvert pipe needed for the project; Bob Evans for donating bark for paths, and Bill Verley for hauling the bark to school. Ms. Milazzo is also working on securing a donation of river rock and has a cement mason lined up to teach plastering when the time comes.
