Recently, Ms. Starchman's third and fourth grade students learned about Michealangelo and took notes on his life and his work. Then, students had a chance to feel what it was like to be in Michealangelo’s shoes when he painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. After creating a rough draft, students taped a piece of paper under their desks, laid on their backs, and drew their final draft. Students had a great time with this activity and realized how tough it would be to paint the Sistine Chapel, especially for the four years that it took Michealangelo. They enjoyed this fun activity!
