How to Enroll

Sierra Foothill Charter School is a free, publicly-funded, TK-8 elementary school. Space is limited in both the school and our fee-based After School Program. We encourage you to enroll as soon as possible to ensure a spot for your student. Intent to Enroll forms for the 2017 – 2018 school year are available here and in the office in January 2017.

January 16, 2017: Open enrollment period officially opens.
April 12, 2017: Open enrollment period officially closes.
April 13, 2017: Public Lottery held at 4 PM on campus if necessary.

Note: Existing students are guaranteed enrollment in the following school year and are exempt from the lottery, as long as an enrollment form is completed and submitted during the open enrollment period.

Siblings of enrolled students are also exempt from the lottery and will be offered admission if space is available (taken in order that enrollment applications were received).

April 13, 2017: Students will be notified of admission or position on waiting list by mail; Registration Packets made available.
April 28, 2017: Completed registration form, proof of residency, and proof of age requirements are due back to SFCS.
July 21, 2017: Remaining registration documents, including proof of immunizations and proof of withdrawal from prior school and district of residence, are due back to SFCS.

Wait list: If your child(ren) are on the waiting list, you will be contacted as soon as space becomes available. You will then have 48 hours to get back to SFCS to confirm your spot. After 48 hours, if you do not respond, your child will be placed at the end of the waiting list and the next potential student will be notified. Wait lists are for the current school year only. They do not carry over from year to year.

NOTE: SFCS is nonsectarian in its programs, admission policies, and all other operations, does not charge tuition, and does not discriminate based on disability, gender, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation.
