Chris Ramirez, Chair
Angelina Brouillette, Vice Chair, is a small animal veterinarian in Mariposa, California. Angie, as her friends and family know her, graduated with a BS in Biology from Dominican University of San Rafael and went on to receive her DVM degree from UC Davis in 2003. Angie has been a Mariposa County resident since 2006. Along with her husband (raised in El Portal, California) and son, Angie moved to Mariposa County to embrace small community living and to be closer to family. In addition to her career as a veterinarian, Angie has remained involved in her son’s education at Sierra Foothill Charter School. Angie served as a board member and grant writer for Acorn Cooperative Preschool from the years 2008-2011. She has also been serving Mariposa County as a First 5 Commissioner from 2010 until present.
Corinne Dedini, Treasurer, is the Assistant Head of School at One Schoolhouse, a supplemental, online school. Corinne’s work in education is predicated on the belief that today’s schools have a responsibility to prepare tomorrow’s workforce for a future we can only imagine. Corinne also serves on the Board of Directors of Westminster Woods Camp and Conference Center, is a parishioner at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, and is a Mariposa Master Gardener. A California native, she grew up in Napa, attended UCSD, and lives in Catheys Valley with her spouse, Kurt Schnier, who works at UC Merced.
Amber Edwards, Secretary, is a 20-year resident and business-owner of Mariposa who graduated from MCHS and chose Child Development for her field of study. She put her education into action as a preschool teacher and as a recruiter/trainer for local child-care providers. Amber also previously worked at SFCS as the Office Manager, but she left to pursue her passion for photography full-time. Her son attends school here and her husband Gabe has volunteered his IT knowledge at SFCS for several years.
Kori Smith is the Owner/Broker of Concierge Real Estate based in Mariposa. She is also a board member of Kids First, a non-profit, volunteer organization, formed to aid public school students of Mariposa County, providing teachers with supplemental funds for their classrooms through grants as well as high school students with scholarships for college. Kori was the President of the Mariposa County Board of Realtors in 2010, Director of the Mariposa County Board of Realtors, and International Rotarian service club member from 2006-2010. Kori is an active participant in her son’s school activities, fundraisers, and sporting events. She is also a founding member of the Catheys Valley Women’s Book Club.
Jeff Aranguena, MCUSD Representative, is the Director of Human Resources and Student Services for Mariposa County Unified School District. Jeff graduated with an M.A in Education and an M.A in History, along with earning both his teaching and administrative credentials from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Jeff was born and raised in Mariposa prior to leaving the area to receive and education and begin his teaching career. Jeff moved back to Mariposa from San Luis Obispo last August.
