Meet Our Professional, Highly-Qualified Board:
Chris Ramirez, Chair, was born and raised in the Central Valley until moving to Mariposa with his family in 6th grade. He attended Mariposa Elementary school, Mariposa Middle School and Mariposa County High School. Chris has 3 daughters, all of whom attend or have graduated from SFCS. In addition to being the SFCS Board Chair, he also serves on various SFCS committees including Fundraising, Principal Support and Academic Excellence.

Corinne Dedini, Treasurer, is the Assistant Head of School at One Schoolhouse, a supplemental, online school. Corinne’s work in education is predicated on the belief that today’s schools have a responsibility to prepare tomorrow’s workforce for a future we can only imagine. Corinne also serves on the Board of Directors of Westminster Woods Camp and Conference Center, is a parishioner at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, and is a Mariposa Master Gardener. A California native, she grew up in Napa, attended UCSD, and lives in Catheys Valley with her spouse, Kurt Schnier, who works at UC Merced.
Amber Edwards, Secretary, is a 20-year resident and business-owner of Mariposa who graduated from MCHS and chose Child Development for her field of study. She put her education into action as a preschool teacher and as a recruiter/trainer for local child-care providers. Amber also previously worked at SFCS as the Office Manager, but she left to pursue her passion for photography full-time. Her son attends school here and her husband Gabe has volunteered his IT knowledge at SFCS for several years.
Jeff Aranguena, MCUSD Representative, is the Director of Human Resources and Student Services for Mariposa County Unified School District. Jeff graduated with an M.A in Education and an M.A in History, along with earning both his teaching and administrative credentials from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Jeff was born and raised in Mariposa prior to leaving the area to receive and education and begin his teaching career. Jeff moved back to Mariposa from San Luis Obispo last August.
